This spinning rod was designed for dragging/side drifting on all coastal rivers where rubber round weights are used. The softer tip lets you read bites, but there is backbone to move the weight and set the hook.
This rod model has been extensively tested on the Umpqua, Smith, and Chetco rivers.
We’ve also discovered this is a perfect coho rod for spinner fishing.
